Rooted in Maine’s coastal communities, we work alongside environmental experts and volunteers to protect and enjoy our ocean, beaches, and waves. By connecting local knowledge with Surfrider’s national resources and policy expertise, we create effective, science-driven solutions that safeguard Maine’s coast and strengthen coastal communities.
We are like-minded people who call this place home and are passionate about taking care of it for today, tomorrow and generations to come.

Donna Goodridge, Administrative Coordinator
Contact: dgoodridge@maine.surfrider.org
Bio & Favorite Things: Donna brings a lifelong spirit of care and service to her role as the chapter's Administrative Support Coordinator and a dedicated Beach Guardian. After retiring from a nursing career, she is now fulfilling a long-held dream of environmental advocacy—channeling the same compassion and commitment into protecting the places she loves most, along our coast.
Recently, Donna has taken a deep dive into the policy forum, where she enjoys raising awareness and encouraging others to use their voices for the greater good. She’s happiest boots on the ground stewarding coastal areas, with a special passion for restoration projects. You can find her on our coastal islands and beaches or gardening in the sunshine with her two beloved doggos.
