The Executive Committee of the Maine Surfrider Chapter is made up of people from all walks of life with a common thread: we all want Maine’s ocean, waves and beaches to be healthy and accessible to all people.

Chair — Jeff Davis
Jeff is from Falmouth and works as a speech pathologist in a local elementary school. He enjoys surfing early mornings at Scarborough Beach as well as stand up paddle boarding around Casco Bay and sailing on his friends’ boats. Beyond ocean activities, Jeff loves to ski, hike, bike, and strum his ukelele.
Vice Chair — Yona Belfort
Yona Belfort is a product designer and Principal of Portland based Vital Innovation. He loves designing and building things and has a passion for the ocean. He enjoys surfing, photography, hiking, snowshoeing and is learning to mountain bike. Yona lives in Cape Elizabeth with his wife, 13 month old son, and boxer pup.

Secretary — Melinda Irving
Melinda lives in Portland and works at the USM Sullivan Gym as a Student Supervisor. She attends USM and is studying to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. When not in school or at work she enjoys surfing, biking, hiking, running and anything active in the outdoors.
Treasurer — Ian Johnson
Ian lives in Portland and works as a Sustainability Consultant on architectural, engineering and construction projects. He stays active surfing, snowboarding, running, camping and sailing. He enjoys live music, the outdoors, and travel.
